Record Store Day 2013

Brace yourselves; Record Store Day is coming. Now in its sixth year, the Jack White helmed event stands as a celebration of all that is physical; from limited edition vinyls, CDs, even tapes, all rewarding fans for their continued support and dedication. More importantly though, RSD provides a platform for artists all over the world to show us that, no matter where their careers have taken them, there is a small part of this industry that they cherish deeply and will continue to protect.

As ever, there huge amount of limited releases you can get your hands on this year, from covers and collaborations to some old classics. With vinyl sales on the rise, you will need to have your wits about you if you don’t want to come away empty-handed.

No matter what city you live in, make sure you head down to your local record store this Sunday. Even if you aren’t panning on buying anything, there are loads of in-stores, free giveaways, speeches and more that will make it worth your journey. Anyway it’s a Saturday, what else have you got going on.
