Jon Bon Jovi to Mentor Aussie Band - Telstra's Road to Discovery Competition

Telstra and Jon Bon Jovi are looking for unsigned Aussie bands to support, and a huge prize is up for grabs. You as a solo artist, or your band could win $14 000, a 12 month mentorship with Jon Bon Jovi, and a return trip to Nashville, Tennessee, America's musical hub. You could even drop into Ditto Music's office on Music Row for a whiskey or three.
This opportunity marks the 11th year of this competition run by Telstra, who is partnering with Bon Jovi for the first time, in conjunction with their Aussie tour later this year.
Previous winners of the competition include Brooke McClymont and Jessica Mauboy. and this year it could be you.
There will be location-based heats, and then the winners of each heat will battle it out in the final, where judges include Australia's own Pete Murray.
Toby Dewar, Telstra's general manager of media, sponsorship and awards said 'there is arguably no one better in international music to be able to provide a level of guidance and mentoring in the music industry. Jon Bon Jovi is one of the benchmarks of being a successful musician'.
