You may have read our guide to open mic nights around the globe that you as artists can get on. Well the ultimate showcasing of new talent, iluvlive, has a busy week ahead.
The London show of April 15th was definitely an eclectic affair with artists ranging from violinist Adaggio, the classically trained Ayanna Witter-Johnson to boyband Mic Lowry, rappers Pepstar, DVS and the influential grime artist Ghetts.
iluvlive is back in the capital on May 20th with artists Melanin 9, J Sol, Colours, Leanne Robinson, Te and Frances Wood taking to the stage. Before then though, the Birmingham, Bristol and Derby shows this week promise to be the hottest yet in their respective cities.
Birmingham tonight, Wednesday 24th, sees the much hyped Bobii Lewis bring his blend of rap and soul while Saf.One will be celebrating his recent success in the iTunes Hip Hop chart where he hit Number 2, with a performance. Mr Miniature, Allysa Rochelle and Synth will also light up the stage but it is likely to be the one and only Shystie who draws the biggest crowd. Fresh from performing in Prague she'll be showcasing some of the tracks from her new EP 'Pink Mist' which will be released a couple of days later on the 28th.
Putting in the work, Shystie will also be at the Derby showcase on the 26th alongside Chasing Grace who recently featured on Angel's debut album and a whole host of other upcoming talent in the form of singer songwriter J Appiah and rapper Dapz on the Map.
Sandwiched in between the Birmingham and Derby iluvlive events is the Bristol showcase on the 25th and features man on the rise Harry Shotta as well as exciting new talents in the form of K*ners, Connor Knapp, Petit Marie, Gilly and Wish.
As ever, there is free entry for students at the Birmingham, Bristol and Derby iluvlive events while entry to the London show is just £3
