El' Jistos Album Launch Party in the Blue Mountains!
October 23, 2015
Don’t Come Down is the third single from Blue Mountains native El’ Jistos. Following his previous single and video releases In A Can and Tell Me Why, Don’t Come Down is shot in the style of a humble home video, proving that although El’ Jistos takes his music very seriously, he can still poke fun at himself. Don’t Come Down creates a sense of nostalgia that is reminiscent of his carefree, teenage years. It drops on his VEVO channel tomorrow.
The video’s intent is to encourage others to have a laugh at themselves or with good-natured El’ Jistos and also serves as a reminder to press against the noise we sometimes face in life. The first two singles In A Can and Tell Me Why are both hard-hitting and combative in style, pushing agendas and outlining El’ Jistos’ unique and varied style as an MC. Third single Don’t Come Down is the reward and celebratory beer at the end of a long journey – for El’ Jistos it marks the completion and release of three singles, three videos and an album while working full-time and being a partner and father.
Showing his diversity in music El’ Jistos explains,
“Although Hip Hop is my home and where I feel most comfortable, I can explore the Neighbourhood a bit and am not afraid to do so”
Since the release of his debut single In A Can, second single Tell Me Why and his vinyl release of Try Explain That To A Four Year Old, El’ Jistos has cemented his place as an exciting hip hop artist with his feet planted firmly on the ground, while addressing interesting and provocative subject matter. He’s an artist with something to say, and an entertaining delivery method.
There will be three album release events to celebrate ‘Try Explain That To A Four Year Old”. The launches have been planned to celebrate the release of the album, and will be more of a house party vibe instead of a traditional gig setup. El’ Jistos wants to party and celebrate with the people and fans who have supported him along the way so fans and friends can expect a house party atmosphere where El’ Jistos will be joining the party as well as creating it. Punters who head to the Blue Mountains gig can keep their tickets safe in their wallets, and use them to gain free entry to the Sydney shows, as a thank you for the support.
