Ditto Presents Fed Square Live Show 2

The second showcase event will be held on Thursday 7th of January at Melbourne’s Federation Square, from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Fed Square Live gives us the opportunity to showcase some of our brightest up-and-coming artists, while also giving punters access to great live music for free. This month sees an eclectic mix of artists including blues and roots man Jack Biilmann, indie-popper Alex Lahey and psychedelic rapper Juñor.

Jack Biilmann had a massive 2015, playing over 100 shows across the country. Starting out in his ska band The Second Hand Salmon in 2011, Jack decided to go it alone and he hasn't looked back since, supporting the like of Ian Moss, Jay Whalley (Frenzel Rhomb) and Sarah McLeod (The Superjesus). This Thursday's show also coincides with the release of Jack's latest single 'Forever Unbeaten*', dedicated to the late cricketer Phillip Hughes.

Originally from Melbourne pop-funk act Animaux, Alex Lahey has recently stepped out solo, releasing her incredible debut single 'Air Mail'. While Animaux are by no means over, Alex has gone solo to take a slightly more indie-pop approach to her music. Alex joins us only a few days after playing her first solo festival slot at the Beyond The Valley festival, sharing the stage with a number of other Ditto acts including Feki, Chris Watts, Client Liaison, NICO GHOST, UV boi فوق بنفسجي, Lastlings, NORTH ELEMENTS, Neighbourhood Youth and Juñor.

Melbourne vocalist, engineer and producer, Juñor, released his incredible EP Fluorescent Connections in 2015, debuting at #6 in the iTunes Hip-Hop charts as the highest placed Aussie. His long list of achievements in 2015 include supporting Brother Ali during his Australian BIGSOUND tour and touring DJ duties for Ivan Ooze on the massive Seth Sentry National tour.

Fed Square Live runs gigs every Thursday through to March, with Ditto Music holding events on the first Thursday of each month. Our next shows will be held on February 4th and March 3rd.

We are always on the lookout for new Aussie artists to showcase, so if you would like to get involved, please email with your band name, bio, links to social media and examples of your music.
