Are You A Female Musician Aged 18 - 25? Join The Push's SQUAD 16

The Push Inc, is Victoria's Youth Music Organisation, known to everyone in the Victorian music industry as a fantastic hub of young talent. With mentorships, workshops, development programs and initiatives like SQUAD, The Push is committed to developing young people of Victoria into the best musicians or music industry creatives possible.

SQUAD will provide female musicians aged 18 - 25 with the chance to be teamed up with industry professionals, musicians, songwriters, and to attend masterclasses and an exclusive development weekend where they will work on their craft and goals with a team of experts.

Creative Producer Kate Duncan (The Push Inc) says, 'This is a really important and exciting time for The Push to be venturing into programs targeted towards fostering young women artists and their future careers in the contemporary music industry. I can't wait to see what personal growth and career opportunities develop for participants through their involvement in this innovative program.'

SQUAD is limited to 10 lucky participants and a selection process via an application form will determine the lucky women included.

SQUAD comes in addition to the already successful FReeZA Mentoring program providing 30 places for young people with an aspiration for a career in the music industry. Funded by the State Government of Victoria, FReeZA Mentoring aims to provide a pathway for young people who have an aspiration for a career in the music industry. The all-encompassing program includes pathways for young people in the Performance, Technical, Event Management, Marketing, Media and music business. FReeZA Mentoring also offers tailored industry training and masterclasses and further assistance with career development. Past mentors include Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), Phoebe Baker (ALPINE), Andrew Orvis (Queenscliff Music Festival), Cara Williams (Beat Magazine) and Tom Larkin (Studios in the City).
