Alex Lahey Featured On Triple J
October 22, 2015
Melbourne Indie-Popper Alex Lahey's debut single, 'Air Mail', was featured on last night's Home & Hosed on Triple J.
It is often hard for artists to get featured on Australia's premiere youth radio network, Triple J. It was only a few weeks ago that Melbourne office favourite, Alex Lahey, contacted Ditto Music to get her music distributed online and now she seems primed to take over the airwaves!
This is why Triple J Unearthed has become such an important part of Australia's independent music scene. Unearthed gives up-and-coming artists a platform to get their music heard, reviewed and hopefully played on the Unearthed digital station, or its parent FM station Triple J.
Since uploading 'Air Mail' to Triple J Unearthed, Alex has had reviews from Triple J's biggest tastemaker DJs...
Home & Hosed's Dom Alessio said that 'Air Mail' is, 'a catchy pop song and an anatomy lesson in one!'
While Unearthed's Dave Ruby Howell wrote, 'yeah, like there was any chance of this not being good. It's just really great to hear Alex branching out with a sound like this.' (For those not in the know, Alex is also a member of the Pop-Funk group Animaux)
So, if you or your band aren't on Unearthed, you are missing out on potential airplay and publicity. So why not sign up today? Maybe you can be the next Ditto artist to feature on the radio!
