Speech had a rather harsh slamming in a recent NME article, which claimed that no one is at her gigs, her album isn’t selling and that the mainstream media are refusing to pick up on her.
As well as being a mercury prize nominee and multi award winner in his own right, Soweto has worked alongside Speech Debelle for a long time and helped her out with Saxaphone duties at this years Mercury Music Awards.
Soweto makes some really good points as to why arent the media picking up on her? Why are artists hyped by the press and then dismissed instantly once they dont achieve what the media feels is instant success. This is an artist that NME gave 8/10 for her album just months earlier.

yep i got a question i reckon she needs to forget bout media hype n get back on her grind if UK aint supportin go overseas itz all bout buggin ppl 2 annoyance thatz exactly what lil wayne does no lie he is annoying coz he is every track i hear…lol but for me personally im ready for this game
